Meet Tolula Adeyemi

Senin, 07 Februari 2011

I am still grateful for the day I ran into Tolula Adeyemi albeit on the web. I'm now totally obsessed ( not in a stalker kinda way) with this Nigerian/British Model, Actress, DJ.  I love her dress sense and her style in general.

Tolula was born and bred in London. She will be in a movie (her first, I believe) that features the likes of Dustin Hoffman, due to be released in June this year. She says her favorite designers are Alexander McQueen, Mui Mui, Prada and Vivienne Westwood. Currently single but she once dated Jude Law *WOW*.!!

She is featured in Vogue Black - Spotlight On. Follow her blog My Name Is Tolula or follow her on Twitter @tolulaadeyemi

Such glam.!!

Be True To Who You Are

Jumat, 04 Februari 2011

My love for new things and exploring  has led to me deciding I need a NEW LOOK.  Firstly I am cutting my hair this weekend and when I say cutting my hair I mean this short ( see pic below)

Come Monday, I will be spotting a similar hairstyle....short hair is the future.

Secondly, I am changing my look. YES....going retro....70s baby! Ditching some of my skinny jeans for bell bottoms.

My new wardrobe will consist of the following. I'm bringing back the 70s into my world.

High waisted clothes, flared dressed etc

These look good enough to eat! LOL

I wont rest until I find this hat or 2 or 3 :-)

I might have to raid my aunts' and mom's wardrobes. Im so excited about this. Reminded all the time of how life goes in circles.

Moment Of Silence For Christian Louboutin

Rabu, 02 Februari 2011

May we please have a moment of silence *                                  * for these darlings:

Thank you. Words are simply insufficient.!

Thee Most P..u..r..r..fect Gift

This is ALL I want in this month of love.......Nothing more, nothing less.!

Ok, if I cant have that, I will settle for this. *sigh*

This beauty is available at Louis Vuitton in Sandton City. You can contact them on 011 784 3816.

Being In The Mother City

Being in Cape Town this past weekend was a VERY exciting thing for me. The people are so lovely and I have to say, the white brothers look eXtra hot *giggles*

Table Mountain from the Waterfront

YES, this is my favorite T-Shirt ;-)

Went shopping at the V and A Waterfront, my goodness, it was sales everywhere.! I seriously need to win the lotto.

V & A Waterfront

Lulu Belle - too cute for words!

My friend Sammy and I totally went crazy at this shop (below) called "Long Street" my goodness, we were like kids in a candy shop.

Forever New had sales but it was not as exciting as the other shops.

My only regret was not having enough time to go shopping for vintage outfits in Long Street in town.

At the beach in Camps Bay, on the day of the Met - bad decision LOL!!

In a nutshell, things got so hectic we had to go straight to the airport from ZAR with our outfits on. Pity we missed our flight.

Excuse the quality of the pic.

I'll be definately visiting the Mother City more. Had a blast!!

What An Experience - J & B Met !

The J n B Met held in Cape Town over the past weekend was surely an amazing experience for a 'first-timer' like myself. It is believed that 50 000 00 people attended the Met this year, wow!! My friend Sammy and I jetted off on Friday the 28th....in the wee hours of morning, we were too excited to mind LOL. Saw Lucia Mthiyane and Theo Kgosinkwe at OR Tambo Airport. Arrived to lovely weather in Cape Town.

View of Table Mountain from the Waterfront - beautiful!

These little flags were all over Cape Town town, they added a buzz to the Met.

Went shopping at the V 'n' A Waterfront (story for another blog). Due to being extremely tired on Friday evening, we could not attend any pre-parties. On the day of the Met, we first hit the beach ( typical "Jo'buger" I know) and got our tan on before the race-course. Unfortunately we got carried away at the beach and only made it to the Met at 4pm. *sad face*

Sammy and I after our "roasting" session at the beach!

Ours was the Jet Lounge marque, it was very well put together. Without further ado, here are some pictures from people who caught out eye at the Met:

By far the best dressed lady at the Met - Bonang Matheba in a Gert-Johan Coetzee number.

Jen Su and her LARGER than life hat with Somizi.
(I wonder what those hanging 'thingamibobs' are....by the armpit on Jen Su's outfit??)

"The YFM Twinz" Hlelo and Ntando - they were dressed by Diamond Face Couture

The ZAR afterparty at a place called Waterfront Studios was quite spectacular, with Ashton Martins and Julius Malema in the scene. Kenny Kunene really knows how to pull all stops for a grand opening. I believe they are still gonna work on the venue a bit.

One of the Ashton Martins at ZAR Cape Town.

Oh ja...horses LOL

Cape Town came alive and the weather acted in accordance with the J & B Met. Lovely! Lovely! Lovely!
