Fashionable School Uniforms for Girls

Kamis, 29 Mei 2014

Whether your teenage girl attends a private or public school the need for high quality and fashionable school uniforms is essential. Lately parents and teachers have expressed concern over the outfits worn by children in schools and have even suggested that certain trends and styles are leading to alienation, anti-social behavior and in some cases aggressive actions. While studies may never show conclusively that clothing causes any specific type of behavior as a parent the best you can do is outfit your young girl with safe school uniforms that include polo shirts, knee length shorts, scooter skirts and drop-waist jumpers.
If your teenage girl attends a private school you won't have to worry since the school will certainly let you know what the dress code is and how strictly it is enforced. However, is she will be attending a public or state school the rules on fashion may not be so set in stone and that means you as a parent need to exercise good judgment on what is appropriate.
You are better off setting a conservative tone to stay on the safe side. Your teenager will want to express herself but suggestive clothing has caused uproars in schools across the country and unless you want to be embroiled in a fashion scandal it's a good idea to stick with basic khaki pants, rider skirts and drop-waist jumpers. Simple, classic and safe khaki pants are a staple of any wardrobe and will present a clean and neat look for girls. Whether pleated, narrow or flat you can find khaki pants with legs that fit your girls shape and particular style.
If recreation and physical education is a part of your girl's curriculum you will want to provide simple and basic elastic waist pull-on shorts. Available in a wide variety of sizes and colors the athletic pull-on shorts are knee length in shape which fits a more conservative dress code and also feature poly/cotton twill that is easy to care for. If you girl needs comfortable shorts for class on warm fall and spring days Bermuda shorts are a great option. You can also shop for high quality and stylish Capri pants that has top-stitch detail, button appliqué and contrast waist facing.

Madden Girl Shoes Are the New Trend For Teenage Fashion Divas

What I like about Madden Girl Shoes is that it allows teen girls to be a young diva on a moderate-sized budget. I'm sure you already know the word "budget" is not in a teen girl's vocabulary but for those parents trying to keep up this collection of shoes can be a godsend.
Teenagers today avoid the mainstream and want to break out with new, fresh trends that allow them to stand out in a crowd. Who doesn't want that kind of freedom? There's a certain appeal to being unconventional sometimes and not thinking of pairs and matching, just choosing comfortable and cute. But teens choose Madden Girl Shoes because it's a style that you can make all your own.
Take the Madden Girl Tandem Ballerina Flat; an adorable slip-on adorned by a spring floral that says young fresh and vibrant. The perfect shoe to be paired with light-washed denims or a flowing skirt; and there are so many other combinations I can think of that a young adult would love.
There is a wide-range of Madden Girl Shoes to fit each period of maturity in the teenage years from flats to heels. Teenagers understand the life-altering looks and the attitude that fashion deserves.
Keep in mind, style gives us confidence. It may not work with everyone but how inspiring the thought when everyone has all eyes on you. You build positive attitudes and this helps turn them into actions later in time. It's paramount to achieving our fulfillment in life.
I don't want to sound like fashion is everything and that's all that you need for confidence but happiness is yours to create and how do we tap into that power? For teenagers its feeling self-assured and fashion helps you achieve that. A few select shoes can change everything in your life, whether you're a teenager or an adult.
Just think how you feel when you are totally glam? You know you look great, you feel great and you're ready to take on any challenge. Same with a teen diva and now all she needs is a few distinct pairs of Madden Girl shoes. And their affordable and will make an impact on any outfit she has in her closet.
My friend's teenage daughter buys low-cost jeans with art-inspired inexpensive tee's from WalMart but chooses eye-catching shoes like Madden Girl. The shoes stand out so much, no one really bothers to notice the jeans or t-shirt. The shoes make the entire outfit. The same is possible for any teenage girl with a limited budget but wants to remain modern, hip and trendy.

Women's Fashion - Spring Dressing Tips For Today's Modern Girl

If you're going to look good as a woman, you're going to have to stay up to date with the latest fashion trends. Every single year, designer companies come up with a new line of clothing for girls to gawk at. I'm not saying you need to change your entire attire every single year. Good clothing can definitely stay in your closet for a number of years in a row. Nobody's going to laugh at you for wearing last year's hip clothing. Not unless you're living in Hollywood and regularly blow a few thousand bucks when you're out on a frivolous shopping spree, that is.
You're going to want to dress according to what kind of season it currently is. At the time of writing, we're in mid winter. But we're headed towards the warmer months now, so you might already want to start looking around for spring clothing and/or summer clothing. Not all clothing items are specific to a certain season, however. There are plenty of season neutral clothing items as well. You can't go wrong with a spring jacket, whether it's spring or summer. Another example of a more season neutral clothing item is a raincoat, which can be worn either during autumn or winter.
But let's say you want to buy spring clothing. Then you are best off with something that has sharp cuts. This is a fashion trend that you see all around the globe nowadays. Every catwalk has models walking around on it with clothing that has sharp cuts. Whether it's a skirt or a shirt... it's gotta have sharp cuts these days. Otherwise it's not considered of this time.
For spring, you also want to make sure you are wearing the right colors. It's considered traditional to stick to clothing that has soft hues. Sometimes, spring shirts and skirts will have dark edges. This is considered to be pretty daring. Not every girl can get away with it. But some can.
Something that never goes out of style for spring wear, are floral prints. If you're going to buy a new dress and want to look springy, then make sure it's got a flower print on it. The guys will love you for it, even though they won't admit it. Just make sure you get the right kind of flower design. You don't want the really big ones that make your dress (as well as the person wearing it) look like drapes.
Naturally, you'll also want to be wearing the right kind of shoes come spring. Since spring is going to be warm, it should be considered an opportunity to show some subtle skin. So in my opinion it's best to get a few sandals that show off your feet's prettiest parts.

Tips On Finding Inexpensive Bridesmaid Dresses

Weddings are hectic and more often than not tend to get quite expensive. However, with some careful planning you can cut your costs by more than a fair share. This does not mean that you have to compromise on the fashion trends. Now, bridesmaid dresses are a very important part of the wedding. Every bride has to think on the trend very carefully because they will be a part of her wedding pictures throughout her life.
You can plan your bridesmaid dress shopping to make sure that not only do you get the latest rends but also inexpensive bridesmaid dresses for your wedding. The costs can be as affordable as within a tight budget of $100. Here are few ways that you can scope out such excellent dresses in the market.
Sales on design sample dresses
The design samples that most trending designers use as a part of their advertising strategies and display cases, usually come up in designer sample sales in most popular wedding dress hops. You have to make sure that you have contacts with most of these stores so that they let you know when they have such sales upcoming. You can find authentic designer bridesmaid dress, flower girl dress and even wedding dresses at low slashed prices at these sales.
Sales at department stores
Department stores might not be the best places to find a wedding dress, but you would be surprised how often you can find the perfect bridesmaid dress in one of these outlets. You can even look for particular theme or color dresses. The sales at these stores will guarantee that you find the perfect dress within your budget of $100.
Online resale outlets
Most bridal outlets have now opened up web representations to make their products more accessible to a wider variety of audiences. You can even find outlets to rent a bridesmaid dress, if you do not want to keep the dress after the event. These outlets also offer resale dresses as part of consignment sales. While these dresses might be worn once, they are always in excellent condition and quite affordable. Find listing for resale outlets on major online forums or even local newspapers can be a good source.

Fashion Trends for the Plus Sized

If your body type describes a pear shaped smaller top and a bigger bottom, experts recommend that you choose a Kimono dress; only because it balances the body. In the fashion world, draped sweater coats are going to be all over the place during the fall season. Most will come in knits and cashmere. You should also consider a wrap dress or V-neck dress.
They are ideal for plus sized women because:
1. The knit hugs the body
2. The folded top takes the attention from all other body parts, but your face
3. The sweater length provides a slimmer and leaner look
Colors to wear
If you are plus sized and want to create that slimming appearance, you should wear a red sweater with black pants. You can never go wrong with red and black. Smokey gray is another color that adds depth to an outfit and takes away from the fact that you are plus sized. When you wear the color gray, the best way to do so without appearing bigger than usual, is to mix it with bright colors on top. Make sure your top has a distinct neckline to take away all the emphasis from the body toward the face. Choose tones that are monochromatic since they provide a slimming effect to the body; not to also mention that they add sophistication and class to your look.
Other options
Rosettes are going to be popular for the fall. You can choose a basic shift dress and make it either professional or casual. A good pair of pants with medium-low wide waistband will minimize your midsection. Stay away from high thin waistbands. Select a bootleg style pair of pants because it is sufficiently wide to add balance to your hips. Tailored and proportionate dresses should be your first choice.
What you should avoid
If you are a plus sized woman, you should stay away from baggy and shapeless clothes; especially tunic tops and long skirts. You may want to hide your body by wearing these types of clothing, but it only gives the opposite effect of not actually hiding you, but drawing eyes to you. Stay away from loose fabrics. These will only make you appear heavy on top. Avoid pants that are too narrow or too wide in the leg because it will make your hips look bigger. Tummy control is something that you should consider by wearing shape wear under your clothing.

Latest Footwear Fashion Trends for Men and Women

Color variety and bold patterns define the footwear fashion trends for men and women this year. While you'll still never go wrong with the basic black or brown shoes, you should get, at least, a pair of shoes in a livelier shade to spice up your wardrobe and stay in style.
Men's shoes this year are somehow a mixture of the eighties, the gangster era, and the rock-and-roll period. The major fashion week events worldwide recently showcased footwear in eye-catching colors. They all looked like a collection of fruit-flavored candies. In Paris and London, brands like Kenzo, Topman, River Island, Russell and Bromley, and Boxfresh featured sneakers, loafers, lace-ups, and other types of shoes in baby blue, bottle green, canary yellow, and even hot pink.
Two-tones are also making a comeback. If you want to make a bold statement even in more formal occasions, check out some two-tone shoes in stores today. Burberry, Emporio Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana are among the well-known brands offer this fashion trend in men's footwear. The designers' only advice to men who'll be wearing these pairs is to keep their socks simple.
For the daring men, patterned footwear is also in. Just take the examples of Tommy Hilfiger, who recently introduced his camouflage desert boots, and Paul Smith, who made his models wear leopard-print lace-ups on the catwalk. D&G has its own cheetah-print slip-on lounge shoes, while Stubbs & Wootton has its red-and-blue tapestry slippers.
Women, on the other hand, can go from pastel to pop colors. Especially in the warmer months, pastels will definitely be a smart and stylish choice. Aqua, mint green, yellow, and other light colors will be the popular hues for women's sandals and wedges.
Just like men's shoes, women's footwear will also come in bright pop colors this year. Jelly shoes have risen in popularity in the previous year and will continue to do so. They will also be available in more colors as more designers are making them. Platform shoes will still be in and will also be available in a wider array of colors. Braided sandals, espadrilles, and wedges will come out in the summer and, perhaps, all year round in tropical regions.
Trendy shoes can make a big difference in your outfit. Even your most basic clothing can be the most stylish with some accessories and a pair of shoes in the color or pattern that you like.

Swimwear Fashion Trends - What Factors Dictate Swimwear Fashion Trends Year After Year

When it comes to swimwear fashion, there are many factors that designers use to decide what will be popular in the coming season. In some cases it can be a famous poster or photo of a popular actress or model in a swimsuit style that goes viral or it could be an advertisement. In many cases however, unknown to the public, fashion scouts are on the beaches all summer watching what women are wearing, and more importantly how they are wearing it.
Take for example the famous poster of Farrah Fawcett in her red one piece swimsuit. Back in 1976, this poster had the most sales of any poster and caused a fashion swing in the swimwear industry. The sheer red one piece swimsuit was selling by the thousands, retailers could not keep it in stock and consumers could not get enough of them.
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue has become an international success. Each and every year you can count on the bikini or one piece swimsuit that the cover girl is wearing will be a big seller and 1998 was no exception. The German born Heidi Klum rocked the world in her stunning black and white elegant one piece swimsuit.
In 2003 Demi Moore shocked the world in her 40's by showing up on the set in the perfectly toned bikini body. Her bikini photos instantly spread through the internet and tabloids. Her stunning shaping bikini started a wave of inspired consumers all looking to get the low cut, scoop front shaping bikini.
2008 spawned a wave of inspired beach goes when Cameron Diaz was photographed in a sexy cut out one piece swimsuit. This photo inspired a wave of cut-out one piece swimsuit designs. The photo of the 35 year old beauty is now infamous and is still inspiring swimsuit designs today.
Now that we have explored how the Hollywood celebrity and media has a direct effect on swimwear fashion, let's take a look at how the underground or fashion spy's generate their input into the swimwear fashion design industry.
Most leading swimwear design companies and leading manufactures actually have trained fashion scouts strategically placed on beaches throughout the swimwear season.
What these scouts are looking for is how women are wearing their swimwear. It could be as simple as folding down a waist band, wearing their string bikini tops in a certain fashion or where they place the strings on their hips of a string bikini.
This all starts by one woman changing the way she wears her bikini, as other woman see this, they will start to do the same thing and thus we have a new fashion trend.
Let's take for example cut-off jeans. It was not that long ago that a fashion trend was initiated by a woman pulling on a pair of short cut-off jeans over her bikini bottom, then pulling the zipper up half way and not closing the clasp. Suddenly there were woman everywhere wearing their cut off denims in the same manner. And yes as you guested, when January of the next swimwear season rolled around, bikinis were being manufactured with low cut fronts and tiny zippers in the front.

Fashion History - The 1920's in Today's Trends

It's Halloween and you are all ready to roll. This year you have decided to go as a flapper. You've set your hair in tight, neat finger waves, and pulled your garter up your leg, which is still exposed under the extremely short hemline of your boxy, shimmy dress. You take a look at yourself in the full-length mirror and stop to think for a moment. Just a decade before the flapper Charlestoned the night away on the dance floor, women had their knees hidden under layers of material. Arms covered in yards of fabric were certainly not bare and free to move to the jazzy beats to come in the age of the Speakeasy. So how did this most sexy of Halloween costumes come to be? What is behind the shapeless, short, shift dress you see reflected in the mirror before you?
Accessibility. The information age had officially begun. Vogue and Vanity Fair were in circulation picturing the latest fashion trends. Women found themselves fantasizing about wearing clothes just like they had seen in the magazine. Most wonderful of all was that this clothes was actually accessible. It was the Roaring 20's. Times were good and fabrics were available. Most convenient of all was that this clothes was extremely easy to make - boxy shapes with very little tailoring. Women found themselves with the necessary skills, funds, and know-how to create a sexy flapper dress in their own home.
Rebellion. Literally yards upon yards of fabric went into women's clothing before the turn of the century. On top of all that material, or rather underneath, was a garter, a bust-enhancing device designed to restrict a woman's breathing to a shallow whisper. But the 1920's saw important changes that included the woman's right to vote. That made the ladies stop and breathe... or at least they tried to... and then they untied their garters and took the deepest most freeing breath to date. Dresses lost almost all structure. Gone were cinched waists and in were flat chests. The fellas still got an eyeful with a whole lot of rarely-before-seen skin.
Sports. You may wonder what sports have to do with the flapper dress. They have everything to do with its freedom of movement. Tennis, golf, swimming... women of the 20's were expressing their athleticism and needed more comfortable clothing in which to do so. The trends of the decade reflected this trend in women's sport. You can't hit a backhand down the line with a garter that physically splits your upper and lower body into two. Those restrictions had to go; and as a result, women became fitter and healthier. An athletic body was in, and the flapper dress was the perfect way to display it.

4. Shirts and Maxis

That having been said, open shoulder tops are perfect for the plus size woman and these in bold colors are the flavor of the season this year. Factors That Affect Fashion Trends

Online shopping is becoming more popular nowadays alongside with the seemingly endless innovations in technology. The success of online shopping business is rooted to several factors, although there's no single recipe to become a successful online retailer. Online shopping has a significant contribution to the highly diversified and fast changing fashion trends. If checking a diamond has 4 C's (clarity, carat, color and cut), online shopping has 5 C's, as listed below.
Convenient shopping- Convenience is the most prominent keyword when discussing the benefits of online shopping. No hassle of going in and out of an actual store just to find out that you're most dreaded pair of jeans is still out of stock. No wasted time for falling in line just to pay for a single piece of accessory that you have been waiting to arrive at store. If you were from the other side of the globe, you can still enjoy the same fashion trends that people from the other side are enjoying because you can simply order online, and have the latest designer bag delivered to your doorstep.
Comparing products and brands - Various products of competing brands can be easily compared with each other while you're just sitting before your monitor, your laptop or your tablet. Everything is posted online and virtual shoppers could easily check the similarities and differences between products and brands they are choosing from.
Cost-effective and affordable products available - Since there are many products competing for one customer, prices tend to go lower by following the law of supply and demand. If there are more supplies than what is being demanded, prices go down, making products become more affordable and cost-effective for online buyers.
Customer service and after-sales assistance- It may be surprising but more of the online shoppers nowadays are affected by the reliability of the after-sales service of online stores. This is highly observed among online stores that sell gadgets and other products that may need technical assistance in the future. Customer service reliability is also measured in terms of providing a good 'return policy' should the purchased product arrives in defective condition.
Courier factor or the lead time delivery - Going online means going global as you target a wider market. To become an effective online store or retailer, the courier factor or lead time to deliver is quite a big factor. No consumer would ever want to receive their Christmas decors on New Year's Eve already. Lead time to deliver is also critical factor for fashion industry, as fashion trends easily move through time.

Spring Fashion Trends for the Plus-Sized Woman

Many of you may still be freezing from the cold weather that is still outside. You may not even want to talk about spring right now, but believe it or not, it is only a short time away. This is the time to begin thinking about what you will wear in the spring; especially if you are full-figured woman. As with anything in the fashion world, nothing is ever new. Most trends are just reinvented, repeated or reprocessed from the past. It is time to get excited about the upcoming season and the current trends; some of which you may already have in your closet.
Many people are already in the planning stage when it comes to their wardrobe. Spring is the time when you will take off the layers of clothing you wore in the winter months to show off your body that has been concealed underneath for so long. So I encourage you to start shopping right away. You can incorporate some of these suggestions below to acquire your spring outfits.
1. The Crop top
Yes, that's what you heard. Crop Tops, honey! Many people think that crop tops are only for women with thin waists. Plus-sized women with a little thickness in their midsections are not exempt. You can rock the crop top as well and even surprise yourself. You better believe that and don't let anyone tell you differently. You just have to know how to wear it. You don't have to show your whole midriff, but you can reveal a little belly skin at the upper part of your waistline and be still relaxed and confident. How? You can wear a high-waist bottom such as a shorts, pair of pants or skirt. You seriously won't go wrong with this. If you don't feel comfortable this way, then you can add a tank top below the crop top and call it a day.
2. All White Colors
Yes, from your head to your toe in white. The all-white look is taking its correct place in the fashion world and designers like Vera Wang and Roberto Cavalli are adding this to their spring collection. In the recent past, we have seen an overload of bright neon and blocked colored styles; so much so that I think we have forgotten how nice and crisp we can look in a white ensemble. Don't think about what the fashion trend critiques think. You can look absolutely amazing in white too even if you are a plus-size.
3. Appealing Peplum
Directly from the 1980s comes the peplum look. It has been around for several months, but fits in nicely with the spring season. From peplum tops to peplum skirts, you can look fabulous. It brings out the chicness in you and for a plus-sized woman; it hides those curves that you don't want seen. You can wear the peplum dress in a solid color or in a colorful animal print. You have varied choices because this piece will always be appealing no matter what.
4. Floral, Ruffles and Stripes
Floral designs are always going to be associated with spring. It gives you a girly feeling and a feminine look. For the plus-size woman, you can wear floral in a pant suit or a blazer. Floral is a definite must-have for spring. Stripes are going to be the in-thing for the entire year of 2013. You can wear stripes in dresses, rompers, tops, skirts and blazers. They help to give the impression of a trimmer you and will give your body its balanced appearance. During the 1980s, it was somewhat fashionable to dress in blocks of color. Well, you can bet that it is back in the fashion rotation. Dressing in blocks of color will preclude anyone from concentrating on just one section of your body. However, your color block outfit should depend on the kind of weather you are dealing with.

Fashion Trends This 2012

Fashion refers to any mode of dressing that is popular during a particular time or in a particular place. Fashion is a style or a practice particularly in clothing, footwear, accessories, in makeup or even in body art (e.g pirecing, tattoo). Fashion changes from one period to another. It changes from one generation to another generation. Every person regardless of what gender follows fashion trends.
Among the two genders, the ladies are the most fashionable ones. Sometimes, ladies copy the fashion styles and the fashion looks from high profile people and actresses. Women especially the younger generation tend to look like their KPOP idols from Korea. The animal print fashion style of the Kardashian's has also become a popular fashion trend by women these days. The media has made a great contribution on spreading fashion throughout the whole world. Now, fashion isn't just spread in one country but is also spread throughout the world.
This 2012 has become a wild year for fashion. Fashion trends change so fast you wouldn't even notice. Here's a flash back on the fashion trends:
Bottoms
It started with skinny jeans. Then came different styles like the high-waisted trousers. The high-waisted trousers were famous in the 80s. I think this year, fashion is trying to revive the classics. Rompers are also in-trend this year. It gives you that stylish and comfy feel. Sportif pants are also in this year especially the acid washed sportif jeans. Slouchy shorts are also in. They are usually high-waisted but the part where you place the belt is usually at the lower waist part.
For the prints, the most famous one is the floral-printed bottoms and the animal-printed jeans. It varies from small to large prints. Bleached bottoms are also in this year. For that cowgirl feel, embellished jeans are perfect. Another style that's in is the patch or tattered jeans and the metallic jeans.
For the skirt, the hip-hugging skirts are famous this days. Regardless of whether it's an a-line cut or a pencil cut. Asymmetric skirts are also in trend this year. Usually you will see that the front side is short and the back part of the skirt is long.
Tops
Just like the bottoms, asymmetric-styled tops are everywhere. I think the reason why most ladies love this style is because it can blends well with different body sizes, whether they are fat or slim. It also blends well with any height, whether that lady is short or tall.
Long-sleeved tops are also part of the latest fashion trends. It gives the formal look to women. It can be a formal wear or a casual wear. See-through tops are also in. Ladies this 2012 also love to wear ethnic print tops.
Accessories
This 2012, ladies are fond of the abstract accessories. They usually like long necklaces. The edgy accessories are also famous. You can see spiked accessories like necklaces, bracelets and headbands. The floral and animal-inspired accessories are also one of the top picks this year.
It has been a really wild year for fashion. Everyone is trying to make their own fashion statement. Others are just trying to be in. One advice would be is just to be yourself. Wear what makes you comfortable. Looking good isn't just wearing what's "in". It also matters on how you wear it and how confident you are with what you are wearing, no matter what style it is.
